Download the\u00a0Program\u00a0for the 2010 Conference<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n HSAC has been holding its annual conferences for nearly three decades under the umbrella of the Canadian Federation of the Humanities and Social Sciences’ Congress which convenes each year on the campus of a different Canadian university. In 2010 the Federation’s Congress will be meeting at Concordia University, in the heart of Montreal, from May 28 to June 4. Over seventy scholarly associations will be participating. For further information visit the Congress’ website:\u00a0www.congress2010.ca\u00a0For information on tourism in Montreal visit the Montreal Chamber of Commerce website:\u00a0www.tourisme-montreal.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n Since the main theme of the Congress this year will be “Connected Understanding\/Le savoir branch\u00e9” the focus of HSAC’s meeting will be Hungary-Canada connections. Of course papers on other themes, especially Hungarian-North American interactions, will be welcome. Papers given at HSAC conferences in the past have sometimes been published in the journal Hungarian Studies Review and\/or the Association’s “Occasional Papers in Hungarian Studies” series. HSAC (along with HAS) is a co-sponsor of the HSR.<\/p>\n Please indicate your intention to attend our conference by sending us the title and an abstract of your proposed paper along with a short c.v. by January 29th 2010.<\/b><\/span>\u00a0You should also indicate what audio-visual equipment you will need. Chris is Montreal-based and is in charge of local arrangements for the HSAC Conference.<\/p>\n Anyone wishing to participate must become a member of HSAC and pay his or her membership dues.
