Membership

Membership is open to anyone who wishes to support the objectives of the Association. At this time, the annual membership fee is $45 . For retired members and university students, the membership fee is $30. There is also a family membership for two or more people living at the same address of $75 in the case of full membership and $45 in the case of retired or student membership.

Membership includes subscription to the Hungarian Studies Review journal.


How to apply for HSAC membership?

When applying for or renewing your membership, you have several options:

Option 1. Apply online and pay with PayPal 

Please note that an existing PayPal account or to create a new account is not required when paying by PayPal. You may pay by a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or with your own PayPal account, if you have one.

When applying for membership online, you will be required to complete a form. Just follow the required steps, and click on “Next” to enter all required information. At the end, you will be redirected to the PayPal website to complete the membership fee payment. After payment, you will be redirected back to the HSAC website.


Option 2. Download, print and fill out the APPLICATION_FOR_MEMBERSHIP FORM and mail it to the HSAC treasurer with your cheque or money order made out to the Hungarian Studies Association of Canada to the address below:

Option 3. If you are a returning member and do your banking online, you can also send an e-Transfer from your bank account to our Treasurer, Ilona Sandor at isandor2003@yahoo.com.  There is no need for a password, as it will be directly deposited.

If you are a new member,  please also send her an email providing your postal address, telephone number and affiliation or area of interest in Hungarian studies (or fill in the application form under option 2 above, scan it, and email it to Ilona).
